| 明治年代より南部鉄瓶の販売を業として創立され、以来南部鉄瓶を始め、種々の工芸鉄器を開発製造を行い、現在に至っております。 南部工芸鉄器の製造元として、歴史ある本場盛岡の代表的企業であり、その製品は優れた工芸品の作り手として長年にわたり評価を頂いて参りました。製品は国内一円と海外にも輸出されております。 製品は南部鉄瓶、茶の湯釜、花器、灰皿、鉄鍋、風鈴、インテリア・エクステリア用品等、幅広く製作しております。 |
| 南部鉄器の由来 南部藩主は、４００年前の初代伸直公の時代から茶の湯を愛好し、茶の湯釜を中心に鉄器の製作を奨励しました。以来、南部鉄器はこの地方の伝統的な工芸品として献上品、諸侯への贈り物などに利用され、特産品としての地位を高めて発展してきました。また鉄器の技術者は、手厚く用いられました。 南部鉄器は現在も、岩手県特産の良質な銑鉄を原料とし、伝統的な技術によって作られています。古淡な鉄肌と素朴な形は南部鉄器の特色とされ、さまざまな作品の中でも鉄瓶と茶の湯釜は代表的な存在です。 |
| THE HISTORY OF “NAMBU”
IRONWARES Four hundred years ago, Nambu Nobunao, feudal lord of Nambu district (old name of Iwate Prefecture), promoted the production of ironwares especially caldrons for tea-ceremony. The “Nambu” ironwares began to be used for as an offering to the “Nambu” lord and also gifts to Shogun and other feudal lords in those days. The iron-craftmen ware under the lord's protection and they, after strenuous efforts, established the ironwares as specialties of Nambu district. The “Nambu” ironwares are made of the quality cast iron with the traditional techniques, Simple design and glazing surface with elegant simplicity are characterized the “Nambu” ironwares. Above all, kettles and caldrons are the typical examples of “Nambu” ironwares. Please enjoy “your life with Nambu ironwares”. |
